How to install the stainless steel gate? What precautions should be taken when installing stainless steel gates? The following stainless steel gate manufacturers will introduce to you. The stainless steel gate is a control component in the fluid conveying system, with functions such as cut-off, regulation, diversion, prevention of backflow, voltage stabilization, diversion or overflow pressure relief. It plays a very important role in fluid control. Therefore, the installation and arrangement of stainless steel gates must comply with regulations, and fully consider the safety and convenience of personnel operation, the actual situation of the installation site, and the actual needs of daily maintenance and switching.
The regulations presented here apply to the setting of gate, globe, ball, butterfly and pressure reducing valves in petrochemical plants. See the relevant regulations for the setting of check valve, safety valve, regulating valve and steam trap. This regulation does not apply to the setting of stainless steel gates on underground water supply and drainage pipes.
1 Layout principle of stainless steel gate
1.1 Stainless steel gates shall be set according to the type and quantity shown on the Piping and Instrumentation Flow Diagram (PID). When PID has specific requirements for the installation position of some stainless steel gates, it should be set according to the process requirements.
1.2 The stainless steel gate should be arranged in a place that is easily accessible, easy to operate and maintain. The stainless steel gates on the rows of pipes should be arranged centrally, and an operating platform or ladder should be considered.
2 Installation location requirements for stainless steel gates
2.1 When the pipe gallery pipes entering and leaving the device are connected to the main pipes on the pipe gallery of the whole plant, stainless steel gates for cutting must be set up. The installation position of the stainless steel gate should be centrally arranged on one side of the device area, and the necessary operation platform or maintenance platform should be set up.
2.2 Stainless steel gates that require frequent operation, maintenance and replacement should be located on the ground, platforms or ladders that are easily accessible. Pneumatic and electric valves should likewise be located within easy access.
2.3 Stainless steel gates that do not need to be operated frequently (only used when driving and parking), if they cannot be operated on the ground, should also be arranged in a place where a temporary ladder can be erected.
2.4 The height between the center of the handwheel of the stainless steel gate and the operating surface is between 750 and 1500 mm, and the suitable height is 1200 mm. The installation height of the stainless steel gate that does not require frequent operation can reach 1500 to 1800 mm. When the installation height cannot be lowered and frequent operations are required, an operating platform or steps should be provided in the design. Stainless steel gates on pipes and equipment for hazardous media shall not be set within the height range of people's heads.
2.5 When the height from the center of the handwheel of the stainless steel gate to the operation surface exceeds 1800mm, the sprocket should be set for operation. The chain distance of the sprocket should be about 800mm from the ground, and a sprocket hook should be set up to hang the lower end of the chain on a nearby wall or on the column, so as not to affect the passage of the channel
2.6 For the stainless steel gate set in the pipe trench, when the trench cover can be opened, the handwheel of the stainless steel gate should not be lower than 300mm below the trench cover. The handwheel is within 100mm under the ditch cover.
2.7 When the stainless steel gate installed in the pipe trench needs to be operated on the ground, or the stainless steel gate installed under the upper floor (platform), the stainless steel gate extension rod can be set to extend to the trench cover, floor, floor, etc. For operation on the platform, the distance between the hand wheel of the extension rod and the operating surface is preferably 1200mm. Stainless steel gates with nominal diameter less than and equal to DN40 and threaded connections should not be operated with sprockets or extension rods to avoid damage to the stainless steel gates. Typically, stainless steel gates should be operated with minimal use of sprockets or extension rods.
2.8 The distance between the stainless steel gate handwheels arranged around the platform and the edge of the platform should not be greater than 450mm. When the valve stem and handwheel extend above the platform and the height is less than 2000mm, they should not affect the operation and passage of the operator to avoid personal injury.
2.9 When installing threaded stainless steel gates, it is necessary to ensure that the threads are intact, and apply sealing fillers according to different media. When tightening, it is necessary to apply even force to avoid damage to the stainless steel gate and stainless steel gate accessories.
2.10 When the socket-welded stainless steel gate is installed, there should be a gap of 1-2m between the socket and socket to prevent the welding seam from bursting due to excessive thermal stress during welding.
2.11 When installing on a horizontal pipeline, the valve stem should be vertically upward, or inclined at a certain angle, and the valve stem should not be installed downward.
2.12 The bottom layer of the welding seam connecting the butt stainless steel gate and the pipeline should be welded by argon arc welding, and the stainless steel gate should be opened during welding to prevent overheating and deformation.
2.13 Before installing the trap, the pipeline must be purged with steam under pressure to remove the sundries in the pipeline.
2.14 Steam traps should not be installed in series.
Through the introduction of the above stainless steel gate manufacturers, you should know how to install the stainless steel gate!
